Every once in a while, you may feel like you just need to get some culture in your life. But if there aren’t any concerts or art shows going on, you may not know how exactly to do that. But luckily, you live in the San Antonio area, and you have access to The Witte Museum. You have so much to explore at this museum. From culture to science to nature – there’s nothing you can’t learn about when you come out to this museum. Here are some of the top exhibits you should be checking out this summer.
Survival: The Exhibition
Mother Nature is a force to be reckoned with, and countless people have heard the call of adventure and have decided to seek it out. That’s exactly what you’ll get to explore when you go to Survival: The Exhibition. Learn about the people who took on some of the most dangerous exploits in the most dangerous natural parts of the world, and find out what drew them to these experiences. Then take a look at how Mother Nature had an impact on their success – or failure. This exhibit is only open through September, so make sure you don’t miss out.
Blast From the Past: Fiesta 1969
Back in the Spring of 1969, the Fiesta celebration was a huge deal in San Antonio. Wonder what it was like to live in those times? When you go to this exhibit, you’ll learn all about that celebration and how it was shaped by the ethos of its time. It’s fascinating to go back to the past to see how much things have changed, and you may even feel some nostalgia in the process.
