Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist returns to The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on June 3rd, 2019, to speak on The Search for Life in the Universe. Beginning with Mars, he will review the ongoing effort to search for habitable planets, life and liquid water in the cosmos. The show explores the topic of intelligent life and whether it already exists on Earth. Dr. Tyson has some awesome music incorporated into his extraterrestrial talk so you don’t want to miss it.
Dr. Tyson has been the director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City since 1996. The center is part of the American Museum of Natural History where Tyson founded the Department of Astrophysics in 1997.
